Perseverance, which the cool kids call Percy, just completed its first marathon on Mars. That means the rover has now traveled more than 26.2 miles across that dusty red surface. It is kind of funny to think of a robot running a marathon when you imagine it rolling along at barely over one-tenth mile an hour. Yet that's what happened. This journey took around two and a half years since landing in Jezero Crater back in February 2021. Before Perseverance arrived on Mars, we already had some visitors there from NASA's previous rovers like Spirit and Opportunity. Even though Perseverance has covered quite the distance with lots of data collected many questions remain unanswered especially regarding if life ever existed on Mars which seems kind of unfair right considering all that effort we are still unsure about so much key stuff only time will tell as more missions continue trying to solve these mysteries one sample return mission at least would probably help clear things up eventually hopefully sooner rather than later but who knows reallyES Todavía hay misterios por resolver en Marte
