My name is Eric Zapata.

Most science news is either too technical to understand or too dumbed down to be useful. I wanted something in between — articles that respect your intelligence without assuming you have a PhD.

Open Your Mind covers AI, space exploration, biology, physics, neuroscience and emerging technology. Every article is published in both English and Spanish, because science should not have a language barrier.

I have been writing about science and technology since 2014. Over the years this blog has grown from a personal project into a daily publication covering the most relevant discoveries from sources like NASA, Nature, IEEE Spectrum, MIT Technology Review and Science Daily.
